My First "Fusion" Clip.... Can't Post

Hate that word already. Angelic

Just one day after receiving it, i went out to Glamis (famous sand dunes in Cali) to shoot an engagement with of my photo/video couples this year. It is a little rough in some spots but i needed to get something up asap as some clients are waiting to see how I can do both at the same time before signing.

I hate doing the shutter sound effect..its so overdone and cliche'....but it looks weird without it in some spots. Still working on ways to "fuse" (Tongue) the two together more seemlessly..but for the first clip..overall pretty happy about how it came out:

Very nice, dude! So everything was shot with the 5DM2?

I like the shot where you have the quad coming up the dune in video, then it changes to a still shot.

Daniel, nice to see you taking your daughter to work with you. I hope you gave her water and food all day. Crazy

I liked it a lot, as you implied, you and most others are stiill searching for that perfect mix, it will happen in due time. I think i would have liked a few more pictures in full color, not so many with that muted color/ sepia look. Great way to mix the flying atc and go into a pic. The pace of the song was a bit fast for the pace of the images, I felt. Your pictures have a nice candid feel to them. Overall it was great, you have a future in this business. Wink

I am sure you can change the white balance in the camera and i would guess it effects both the stills and the video. I liked the look of the colors though with it being in the desert. This camera really crushes the blacks. You do awesome work.

mr. ed:

Couldn't that be adjusted in the camera's settings (like, for example,
by dialing in less contrast) so that you don't have the loss of
shadow detail? Or is the video unaffected by cam settings such
as contrast, saturation, sharpness?

Dude I love Angels & Airwaves- we are coming out to that track at our reception! So I'm very bias- though you did a great job regardless! LOVED the shot on the crescendo, perfect!

YEah dude..i have had brides give it to me as a choice for SDEs several times but have never used it. This couple gave me a song by The Used to use..and i felt this one worked much better for this type of edit.

Its perfect song to be announced to.

Thx dude!
