I want to know how to have a b/w clip, but say, like the flowers are in color. How is this done? I have Adobe 6.0. Any instructions?

Re: Need some assistance [In reply to] Can't Post

OK, I dont know if this will be of any help to you but what the heck. I know it can be done in premier. I saw an article in either videomaker or camcorder & computer video on how to do this. It didnt seem all that difficult. I remember thinking "duh, i should have thought of that" But I dont remember now.
If I didnt have 30 hours of editing to do in the next 6 hours I would rip up my office looking for the mag.
All I can suggest is to go to www.videomaker.com or www.candcv.com and see if the article is archived.

Sorry, thats all I've got right now.
Mark

I assuming this is Photoshop 6. Scan picture...then make a duplicate layer...make sure this duplicate is on top...then desaturate the duplicate layer with image then adjust then desaturate...then just take your erase tool and erase the desaturated area which will show colour because of the colour background copy underneath. This works for me...quick and easy.
Good Luck
Rob

Thank you , Doug..
Thats the intro of a recent wedding and
the client hasn't even seen it yet , a small outstanding balance is keeping them from picking it up :( ...I hope they have the same reaction when they get around to it ..

Sure, for the most part it was premiere..only..at least the section with the black and white ..and colored leafs..what I did was select the filter leave color..( the leafs where golden) and found the right tolerance so that only the gold came thru..once that was done I was able to replace color with the replace color filter and I used the neon vibrant green and the red ..this filter looks good on lipstick shots..on bright red ipstick that is..and roses ..
good luck
Dave

Dave,
Your camera shots look so steady. I'm pretty sure you didn't use a tripod for all of them...did you use a monopod, or some other stabilizing device?
Regards,
Doug Graham
