Repair to Raynox Semi Fish Eye Can't Post

Recently, I went to pull the Raynox semi fish eye lens from the pouch, which I keep on my belt. There was a sickening crack and arm, which you depress to snap on to the camera, came away on my hand, with the spring dangling.

I managed to somehow hold it together, whilst I clipped the lens onto the camera. That was 31 January 2007 and I have been making do ever since. It then occurred to me that maybe a strap of some sorts, might guide the arm and hold it in place. I asked my wife, Sam. She suggested a dental technician. We found one, who works from home, not far from here.

I took it there last week. He said that it would be a pleasant change to work on something other than teeth. Instead of a strap, like I envisaged, he inserted a pin on each side. It works like a charm. The cost to me was R50, which amounts to US$6.34, which is less than the cost of one beer at the WEVA EXPO. Laugh

I'm happy! Cool I thought that I should share this, in case someone else has had the same problem.

I know some videogs are happier with the screw-ons than
the clip-ons.

Hi Howard!
I've broken tow of these over past couple of years. I was just going to get another for this season - I may see if I can fix them.

"Think of this business as a room with a huge table and a bunch of chairs around the table. There is a big pie on the table. Your mission is to take your place at the table, pick up your fork, and eat your pie. Do not look to the left and do not look to the right. Just eat your pie. There is plenty of pie for everyone."

I've heard that Brack, but I only put mine on for one specific shot, then I put it away again. All the screwing and unscrewing sounds like a mission.

Cheers
