Request for just videotaping and no editing. Can't Post

Does anyone out there get many requests to just shoot a wedding and handover the raw footage. I shot one earlier this year and have probably booked another for a few weeks from now. One of my customers had a professional editor in the family who was also in the wedding and they only wanted someone to shoot the wedding so they could edit it. The other is a professional editor from California getting married here in Wisconsin and wants the footage to edit back in California. I charged $375 for 2 cameras and 1 videographer and added to the cost if they wanted more camera operators. They were thrilled to hire us. I have told them I would have a camera running for everything if they wanted since they will be going through the footage. Seems a few other videographers in my area were not as flexible and insisted on editing and everything. Am I way to nice or not following a good business plan?
The way I figure it is that if I already have plenty of bookings but someone just wants me to tape a wedding for them to edit (since they are professionals) this is a way to make good money in one day. It is pretty much pure profit since they have even paid for the cost of the tapes. No labor from me for editing and I even get a good meal out of it from the reception. I don't want to do this all the time but for May I already had 3 weddings booked and now I have a fourth one booked I don't have to edit. This seems like win-win. What does everyone else think? Do you ever get request for just taping? If the requester were not professionals I would probably rethink what I was doing.

Giving the customer what they want is the name of the game...isn't it?

Some people want the unedited footage along with the edited as well. If that is what they want, great!

I have customers who want edited and raw footage and I have worked this out on a customer by customer basis. The 2 customers I am referring to just wanted the raw footage since they were themselves professionals. I was just trying to figure why some people would refuse this type of business because they weren't going to be the editors. I was wondering if this was a common job others were getting requests for.
I strive to give customers what they want and need to be happy. None of my packages are written in stone....they are only guidelines. I have secured a few contracts because I was willing to be flexible and accomodate the customer's desires. Why would someone in our business not do this? I just don't understand.

I got one coming up next month for 3 hours for $400 using one camera in a wedding reception. If I can have more of this, I would prefer doing this, less work more money.

I will probably be in this boat next year...I am new to the business...but am also getting married next year,...and while I will definitely want a "super-deluxe" package,...but definitely would like to edit it myself...i hope to find some good companies that will do this...
as a newcomer to the business...I already see the pains of editing...and probably wouldn't mind getting a couple jobs a year where I just run the cameras and turn the footage over...

If you are in the Wisconsin area or the Miami/Ft.Lauderdale, Florida area (have parents there and could create a working vacation) or Raleigh/Durham (family there too) NC area give me a call. I would love to do the job.
