Resaving a jpeg as a tiff Can't Post

Thanks to all for replying to the other post.
I had already saved about 100 pic as jpeg's and was wondering if I resave them as a tiff, will I get any better quality or will it just be as good as the first scan.
Do I need to rescan the pictures to get the higher quality?
I would like to do some zooming and movement with the pics and will save them at a res of more than 740x480.
Thanks Again and Good Luck

The damage has already been done by saving as a jpeg so rescan.

changing from jpeg to TIFF will not improve your quality. At this point, the only change that will be made would be the significant size increase.
Is there a reason why you want to do this?

Yes, we've been over this in his other post. The images have been degraded by compressing them into .jpg.
You'll have to rescan if you wish to have them higher quality.
