Ritek DVD-Rs Can't Post

Does anyone has any positive experience with Ritek DVD-Rs. I'm currently using Mac G4 Superdrive and iDVD3 to author my DVDs.
They are supposed to be compatible with G4 Superdrive.
Thanks,
Arkadiusz

I have a spindle right now myself. So far so good, but I am only using them for demos and backup. Spend the extra cash and get name brand media for your final product. Maxell, Verbatim, Apple and TDK.

Apple dvds are Ritek OEM dvds. They are one and the same.

Hey Eric,
Is Apple using Ritek DVD-Rs, putting their logo on it and then charging us extra?
Have you used Ritek and got good results with it?
Thanx,
Arkadiusz

Well Apple is charging more but they come in individual cases with case cover and printing costs so they will be more expensive than buying something that comes in bulk on a spindle with no extras.
I use Verbatim/Maxell printable dvds for customers and Ritek for my personal stuff. no problems with Ritek

First of all, Compusa has terrible service! There sales people don't know the difference between cds and dvds. Never trust anything Compusa tells you!
Just goto vcdhelp website and download there dvdinfo program. It reads the MediaID tag of the dvd and that tells you the mfr of the dvd.
Apple could be using TDKs. It's possible but my last batch was made by Ritek. Apple first started with Pioneer OEMS (red logo) and now they are using Ritek OEMS(blue logo). Plus I always tell the truth, if I'm not sure I'll state it as my opinion ;-)

Thanx for you info Eric. I just ordered 20 Verbatim printable DVDs in bulk on a spindle. They are a bit more expensive then Ritek but will probably proof more reliable.
Thanks again,
Arkadiusz

Apple purchases from the lowest bidder, so it's possible you will find that the discs are made by several different manufacturers. Whoever they may be using right now, according to the Mac Boards the failure rate of their DVDs have gone upwards.
I'm sticking exclusively with Maxell and Verbatium.
