Sennheiser ME 66, what do i need for it to work with vx2000 Can't Post

i am on the verge of buying a new mic. i am currently looking at the sennheiser me 66 gun microphone. what else do i need to be able to use it with my vx2000? i for sure need the k6 powering module, but i'm not sure if i need anything extra like something that will let it mount on the shoe of the camcorder. also how does the sound go into the camcorder 1/8" plug or XLR? if it's xlr, do i need the beachtek adapter? thanx for any help..

The ME66 has XLR, the VX2000 has the 1/8" minijack. You might be able to find a cable adapter, but I'd go with a Studio One or Beachtek box.
You'll probably want a shock mount for mounting to the shoe. I've heard of others using a bracket to get it off the camera itself. If you're shooting in windy conditions, you might want to investigate a blimp and/or "dead cat" muff.

I use their shock mount and their windscreen on my ME66.
Excellent stuff. Not cheap.
I like the Studio 1 xlr-pro to go from xlr into camera. www.studio1productions.com
