VX2000 Bag Can't Post

Can anyone recommend a good VX2000 case/bag? I went to a local store and they were sooooo expensive and clunky.

Home Depot Can't Post

Home Depot carries several sizes of tool bags which are GREAT for carrying around cameras.
These are made of heavy duty canvas and designed to carry tools on a job site. The have lots of pockets too, great for tapes and other accessories.
They make an excellent, inexpensive (under $40) bag.

I use a Low Pro backpack. I configured it to fit the VX-2000 right on top and the batteries and extras below. What I like about it is I can carry it on my back and still have use of my arms. It's inconspicuous too. It's the best purchase I've made next to the VX-2000.
I use a port-a-bace bag if I think the camera might get wet. www.protabrace.com Yeah I know it's expensive but in this case you definitely get what you pay for.
I had both out in the rain and hail (a rare event) in Key West last Sunday. It was the biggest hail (1.5 inches) ever for Key West. The backpack and slicker kept everything dry while I filmed in the rain. The footage was used by The Weather Channel and Good Morning America on Monday morning.

eddie bauer diaper bags come in green and navy also a smaller version. our target store and toys r us carry these. we use the bigger for the cameras and smaller for ring boxes, black and white material and audio recorders. works for us now and doesn't have camera written all over it.
good luck.

kata bag from bhphoto.com costs around $130 bucks. fairly sturdy, only drawback is lack of additional compartments. been happy with both of mine.

Hey
I got a tool case STOCKON from Home Depot for 20 bucks. Its fairly big and lets me fit: GL2, batteries, tapes, wireless mics, minid disk, on camera light, propack light batteries and misc. items. I used bubble wrap from Staples on the instead so protect my gear.
It even has a hole for a lock so you can lock the case with a lock.

Home Depot sells an aluminum case for drills or tools that is very similar to the case that Canon sells only lighter and thinner. The VX2000 fits in just fin with room for accessories too. This case goes for around $20.

Re: Home Depot [In reply to] Can't Post

I just bought a tool bag at home depot and it is EXCELLENT - and only $39 - much better than the $150-250 price tags I was seeing in camera and video stores!
Thanks for the tip!
