Vendors Can't Post

Would be curious to know where you purchase your video equipment. I've decided that I've had it with B&H! Never again!

Armatos in New York ... without a doubt. They have a loaner program if your unit should have to go for repair and they can't get yours fixed within 48 hours.
They are not the cheapest but they are very competitive. After years of screwing around with other vendors I finally settled on Armatos. I've also heard good things about Camera World of Oregon, but I've not had any personal experience with them.

If you call Camera World, be sure you know what you are calling for and have done all the research you need. They have good prices, but their people are not very good recommending product to fit your needs. I called once to purchase a camer and an on camera wirless reciever and lapel mic. They didn't carry the mic brand I wanted but insisted one brand they did carry was a good alternative for my needs.
Well when the camera and mic arrived I had a Panasonic EZ-1, in other words a small video camera, and a samson RACK MOUNT microphone. In other words the reciever for the mic was twice the size of the camera!
So know what you want and stick to your guns. I had to argue over the restocking fee for their goof!
