Why settle for being one of 100’s or even one of 25?
Be One of 8 at a one ON one Workshop hosted by Mark and Trisha Von Lanken of Von Wedding Films.com and Von Training.com September 15-16

Are you paid what your services are worth? We offer suggestions on your shooting, editing, price list and marketing materials.
Get your questions answered, receive personalized training and much, much more.

What makes a one ON one so unique?
Hands on experience in real wedding venues with a real Bride & Groom, offers a unique and educational learning environment. Sitting in a room and listening to a presentation does have value, but you will learn so much more by doing and not just watching. That is why you bring your camera and shoot what we shoot. Receive hands on instruction while shooting Bride and Groom prep, location establishing shots, the Ceremony at a real church, reception lighting, first dance and more.

Attendees have come from twenty three states and three foreign countries for a life changing experience; why not make the investment in your business?
The small group environment with hands on training is unmatched in the video industry. The response from those who have attended has been overwhelmingly positive. But more importantly, the growth in their businesses is by far the best return on their investment.

"In short I can tell you that as a result of this workshop I have a better understanding of my camera, I am a significantly better shooter, I will be a dramatically better editor, my marketing will be more effective and the product and service I provide my clients will take a quantum leap in the right direction! So bottom line, if you are serious about taking your business to the next level then I would run, not walk to try to grab one of the last slots to the next workshop." -Barry Houston, TX

"I highly recommend the workshop, no matter what level you are in the business. There is so much to learn. I still don't know how you fit all you did into those three days."-Lyn Monroe, LA

"I just wanted to say that I would not trade this experience for anything. This workshop was the best investment that I could ever have made especially being as new to this business as I am. Mark and Trisha you were the best examples of what it means to actually care about those you are trying to help. You proved your caring through word, action, and deed. You both have left an impression on me that I am still talking about today to all of my family, friends, and even co-workers."-Kenneth, AR

"Thank you so much Mark & Trisha for hosting such an incredible learning opportunity. You can watch all the training video's you want (and I have) and not come close to the "hands on" training your workshop offers."-Gail & Gary, Whitney, TX

"I couldn't be more excited about the direction my relatively new wedding video business is going. I've only been doing weddings part time for 2 years but I'm now booking weddings at 2 to 3 times the average price in my area.

While the workshop provided valuable education in every aspect of wedding video, maybe the most important lesson learned was in regard to marketing and pricing. Trisha stressed the importance of charging what we were worth, regardless of what others were charging." -Jeff, Greenville, SC

“Thank you so much for the awesome workshop. You guys are generous in the extreme to share so much energy time and technique with us. It was beyond anything we could have anticipated. As for the techniques - we shot a wedding the Sunday after returning and had a chance to try out some of the ideas. After we returned Steven also revised all the prices. Thank you for the encouragement and the inspiration.”-Barbara & Steven, Long Island, NY

After hosting numerous workshops in Tulsa and across the country, we are experienced in training wedding and event videographers to reach new heights in their business. With over 38 hours of our time over the course of three days, you will return home with the knowledge to implement the inspiration.

Reserve Your one ON one Experience!

Video Clips [In reply to] Can't Post

We have a few openings for our June 9-10 workshop as well as our September 15-16 workshop.

Here are a few video clips about the workshop as well as some wedding clips.

A wedding is not only about those present, but those who played a key role in making the day possible. These clips are from a wedding where family was very important to the Bride and Groom.

These workshops are great. They cover almost all aspects of this wonderful business. Laura & I personally know at least 12 people that have attended and come away with a new perspective on marketing, shooting and editing ideas. Well worth the time & money. We highly recommend them. Smile

Re: [Mark Von Lanken] VonTraining.com presents a Unique Learning Experience [In reply to] Can't Post

Going to the VonLanken's training is worth every penny you spend. They take a personal approach that is so beneficial to everything we do. They have helped our shooting, our editing, our marketing and our overall business plan - long term and short term. It's amazing what having an outsider from your business take a look at what you're doing, tweak it a little or a lot, the results are just a better product and a better business.

A couple of years ago I consulted with a banker about my business. I got no REAL help from that at all. She didn't really understand what we do in event videography. The VonLankens know what they are doing and they openly share that with you.

We have a shelf full of training videos. They have been helpful and I wouldn't give any of them back. But the VonTraining was still a huge step forward for us. Certain shots that I had seen done on training videos but always forgot to do when I got to a wedding are know standard for me because of the practice at a church with Mark and Trisha. Something about going to location and practicing with them cemented the shots into my head.

So just do it. GO! You'll kick yourself for not going sooner.

Thank you Mark and Trisha for everything you've done for our business! Smile

Re: [Mark Von Lanken] VonTraining.com is coming to Southern California in October [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Mark, quick question: I attended the video association meeting last night in Madison, Wisconsin - great meeting and a great bunch of folks there. While there, we viewed one of the training DVDs you have created, I believe it was titled "Out of the Box", something like that. Very good DVD. My question, as I am pretty new at this business and have only shot 2 weddings to date, do you have a particular training DVD that you would recommend for a newbie like me? I think your stuff is great, but don't want to put the cart before the horse. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Rick

P.S. I hope this subject is not off topic.. :)

Hi Rick,

I'm glad you made it to the Madison Video meeting. It's a great place to learn and network. Hal has a 4 pack of our training videos at a very good price and it includes Breaking Out of the Box. Here's a link for more info.
http://www.videouniversity.com/wedlanken.shtml

EDIT:

I forgot to mention that Hal also has a second 4 pack that contains Moving Camera Techniques One and Two as well as Art of the Edit and Real Weddings Volume One. If you want to learn more about shooting, the Moving Camera Techniques series is just what you are looking for.

In Real Weddings Volume One, you will see a full length wedding film, from start to finish. This wedding has won a Gold CEA and a Emerald AAA. It also has two additional audio tracks that you can listen to as you watch the DVD. In one track you will hear Trisha and I talk about the cameras, lenses, support gear, audio, camera placement, shooting assignments...everything related to the shoot. On the other track you will hear us talk about the edit decisions and the thought process that went into making this wedding film.

Hi Mark,

I can't get away just now because I'm back working part time with the high school orchestra, but I would really like to get in on one of your extended workshops. I'm still trying to get MIVA to sponsor you for a workshop in Michigan. Do you have any openings in '09 that you could fit us in?? We're putting together our meeting line-up for next year now and it would be great to have you and your lovely wife join us.

Hi Joe,

The last time we came to MIVA Ralph and his wife took us to the Ford museum. We had a great time up there. We even did a day after session at Ralphs studio for Edius training.
