What to charge? Can't Post

Sorry if this should go in the Business & Marketing forum but I couldn't get it to work so hopefully one of the readers here can help. I am looking for a ballpark figure for producing a marketing video for a company. I will be doing probably 6 to 8 hours of on-scene shooting time. I am also writing the script based on info from the client. Then, I will provide the voice work and edit the project too. The client wants a presentation of 10 to 15 minutes. Can anyone advise what a per minute finished charge or other methods of calculating what I should charge for this project? Thanks much. dvpaulshoe (former tv news reporter/videographer (one-man band) that still loves to shoot so I bought a vx2000 and nonlinear editing system to fulfill my desires! trying to make a few bucks too.)

$1000-$1500 US per minute should cover it.

As a corporate prducer let me chime in....
First you need to determine:
1) scope of project
2) audience of project
3) shelf life of project
and even more importantly
4) budget of project, as it affects how well you can address 1-3....
If this is to be a quick and dirty shoot and edit, with little crew and just basic editing, a $2000 pricetage might cover it well.....
On the other hand, if the client is using this to address customers, etc, a higher end production, including proper lighting, makeup artist for any standup/on camera folks, high end camera rental, more complicated post-work including graphics, etc, you migh tbe looking at $10k an up....
You need to provide more info. And if you havent already, you need to find out what the CLIENTS budget is.....
"Marketing video" can mean a lot of things...
