White Balance? Can't Post

I have a vx2000 and have questions about white balance. Do most of you guys go with the auto white balance, or set it manually every time you change locations? If you go manually, what do you use to set the white balance, a card, wall, etc?
Thanks

Re: White Balance? Can't Post

I do WB anytime I see colors are not correct. This is the advantage of color VF. If I can't at the moment I leave in auto.
But for real natural colors the manual WB is mandatory.

Re: White Balance [In reply to] Can't Post

I've carried a plain white 3x5 card, but just put a larger one in my camera case. I find it important that the bride's dress comes out white instead of a dingy yellowish tint. I do it just before the ceremony with available light from my tripod position. It is the color of the light available at that moment bounced off of a white surface that you want. I use auto for most all other shots.
