Why would WEVA censor this? Can't Post

I posted the following message last night in the WEVA Forums section. When I woke up this morning it had been removed. I sent off an inquiry to WEVA and got an immediate response saying I was free to re-post it. I asked why it had been take off in the first place and I received a curt reply saying it had been "inadvertantly removed" I re-posted the message along with a 2nd post asking if other WEVA members had experienced anything similar. A few hours later both posts had been removed.
What gives? - here's the original post:
"6 months after the WEVA convention I'm wishing I could see some of those video entries for inspiration. Why not package the entries and make them available for sale?
The goal of WEVA is to help us make a better product - and the people who win these awards don't hesitate to advertise their achievement when they market themselves. Why not package the videos and make them available to WEVA members? After all, we finance the whole thing don't we?"
I would like to hear from WEVA members on both of these subjects.

Andy,
That's one of the main reasons I got out of WEVA years ago. There are too many good non-member forums on the web.

Who knows [In reply to] Can't Post

Andy,
Who knows. Sometimes its evident that more than one person is running the show on the boards. I would say the second time was for questioning the first removal.
On tapes, if you were at the convention then you know the various presenters and winners had their work for sale. This would be about your only option.
There is a second option, if you want to submit your own footage for use then there is Al Kohouts wedding sampler that should be coming out in a few weeks. I don't know if you're too late for this years edition though.

Who cares??? If I did I'd be on their forum and not this one.
Why bother us with this useless information?

Andy:
I can't imagine why WEVA would censor your post. Then again, many posts are removed on THIS forum, for no apparent reason.
(They'll probably remove this now!)
As to why WEVA doesn't make Creative Excellence Award winning videos available for sale, I would imagine it's because the work is copyrighted, and doesn't belong to them! Would you want samples of YOUR work in the studios of any videographer, photographer, or DJ who could write a check?
In many cases, the award winners themselves will make the videos available for purchase. They're the only one that can do it.
Finally, at the WEVA convention, you can watch the winning entries from each year over and over again. They replay them constantly in the WEVA Backlot.

Andy, sometimes people do not realize, that WEVA is NOT a public non-profit entity, but a very much private enterprise, owned by a very bright, successfull person. While "The goal of WEVA is to help us make a better product" as you state, there are rules they establish that only they can change, interpret etc. as they see fit.

Alex,
So your point is that we should never question?

Pete,
The official response from WEVA is that my post was an administrative issue that is not appropriate to the forums but rather it should be brought up to WEVA itself.

Off course you can question. Similar to your customer questioning your business hours or your return policy or your prices. As long as a business plays by the federal and state rules covering business practices, we the customers can not tell them what to do.
