joel...default transition question Can't Post

Or for anyone else who knows the answer...
Joel, this is something you put in a post a little while ago:
: 1. Bring in the stills to the timeline. If you shot them in order just drag the folder to the browser and then the the timeline. Make sure your default for the still duration in the preferences is what you want it to be.
Just exactly how do you make a transition the default transition? I highlighted it and went up to Effects, but all the Default Transition options are grayed out. What am I doing wrong?
THanks...velma

I just go to the browser, open effects folder and then pick the transition that
you want. Cntrl click and an option will come up asking you to make it the
default transition. That's the way I do it. I'm sure there are others.
