my pimped XHA1 ( plus a brevised SDE ) Can't Post

I've recently upgraded my XHA1 with a brevis depth of field adapter. Even though it now weighs a ton, it's fun shooting with it. Amazing shallow depth of field.

I've recently created an SDE last December 30 for an italian groom who married a Filipina. I code named it the Italian Job.

Very Nice Dominic, I bet it was a bit of a pain with that Brevis thing attached to video tape all that.

Who is that standing next to the camera? I don't recognize him Wink Does a longer lens really make you a better man? Smile

Finally, none of those inverted images. Got the flip module. Added a few inches and a few ounces.

need longer arms to reach the focus rings.... besides the weight, this cam setup is such a joy to use.

Is that a 70-200 2.8L IS ? If so that is some weight, I have many Canon L lenses but did not think you could use them on my XH-A1, Please explain how you are doing it.

Great setup by the way.

Re: [dennykyser] my pimped XHA1 ( plus a brevised SDE ) [In reply to] Can't Post

not the IS version. It's a Depth of Field adapter. basically what it does is it uses 35mm lenses and it projects an image on a ground glass inside the adapter. The video camera focuses on that ground glass and records the image to tape.

depth of field or the range of focus is determined by the aperture set on the 35mm lens.

There are three popular brands -- brevis, letus, and the red rock micro. you can freely google the specs and sample footages of each one.
