selling camcorders online Can't Post

I know that this may be a little off the topic but I just was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to sell equipment.

Good God Ebay! If it wasn't for Ebay, I would be in a poorhouse.

Is Ebay just good for the seller? It seems like the prices are similar to buying at a store. How can I find the gems? Such as a GL 2 etc. I just went over there and it seems like you can get a the GL 2s for $2200.00 without extras. But with extras it going to be closer to $2700.00
Anyway, I always get this feeling that Ebay is trying to sell close to brick and mortar store prices. Am I way off base?

No, you're not. There are a lot of retailers who use eBay as just another selling venue. But if you are patient, you can sometimes get a bargain. Just be careful not to bid more than 80% of the mailorder discount price, or whatever limit you care to set for yourself. If you're outbid, just shrug and wait for the next time.
I've had the best luck on eBay with used gear, rather than looking for bargains on new, current-production items. Support gear like mikes, lights, tripods, etc. are a better bet.
