sony vx 700 Can't Post

I am looking at the sony vx 700 does anyone know anything about it I can not find anything on sony website about it!

It's a one chip so there is no good reason to get it and not a newer one chip like a TRV20.
The battery will be a big issue and the newer ones have very long life batteries.
I guess the better question is why are you looking at it.
This is pre VX1000 so you never know how long it will last you if you get it.

This camera came out at the same time as the VX1000 and has many similar features. It only has one CCD, however, so the image quality won't be as good as a VX1000 or later 3-CCD model.

I am looking at because it is cheap on ebay, it is for my brother who is looking for something with a firewire. That he can plug into my computer and edit home movies!!!!

Check to make sure it has a Firewire interface. I think so, but I'm not sure. Also see my article in the Free Library section of this site on "Buying a Used Camcorder".
