Be sure to check out Pinnaclesys.com and their RTDV solution. Matrox, sadly, doesn't do audio!...it relies on your sound card to handle it and then apparently has some software function to sync the audio/video up later...a lame solution as far as I'm concerned. Plus check out the images on Canopus' site regarding Matrox...it will probably shock you. Also, the Matrox needs at least a P4-2.0 (I think). That's just too much required horsepower IMO. But look to Matrox for your video subsystem...Parhelia supports three CRTs plus an NTSC! I just received three Viewsonic VI-P95F+B on Monday and it's really wonderful having all this space to work. I refuse to pay the big bucks on widescreen lcd for editing as the technology isn't quite fast enough yet. Regards-Thom : I can't decide on my future editing system. Is premiere optimal with matrox or canopus cards?
