Wedding Video Music Can't Post

I am currently editing a wedding video for a family friend. It is only the third video I have edited and I was wondering if someone could help me with the music.
The problem I am having is finding appropriate music that can be played over edited video. I'm looking for a piece of music that is a solo instrument, preferably piano, with a slow tempo with an emotional feel to it.
If anyone could suggest some suitable pieces of music I could possibly download I would be most grateful.
Thanks.

If you look on iTunes (Sorry, I'm a Mac guy) there are lots of instrumental versions of "From This Moment On." It's one of those "cliche" songs that we, as videographers, tire of listening to but if you get the right piece, the client LOVES it. I'll keep listening to anything that keeps making me money! :)

Ladonna is offering some nice music that fits your needs. The bonus is that it is buyout music.

Hi,

How about the first two minutes of the theme to Forrest Gump?

Paul Cardall offers some nice, subtle piano music, good for background audio.

You also might want to try Piano Brothers.

They sell royalty free cd's that are great for wedding editing.

Good luck,

Suzanne Ciani's solo piano CD's are the best. Her "Pianissimo" series (there are 3, I think) have lush, romantic melodies and are perfectly suited for wedding video.

Never underestimate what your client wants! Call and ask. I have a wonderful couple as normal as can be (look wise) marrying this weekend, and here's the selection they gave me.

1. Opening credits - House of 1000 Corpses - Rob Zombie (with visuals to match the films opening)
2. Pre-Ceremony - Nice Dream - Radiohead
3. Ceremony - Parabol - TOOL
4. Post Ceremony/Formals - Parabola - TOOL
5. First Dance - Thank You - Led Zeppelin
6. Mother/Son - Simple Man - Lynard Skynard
7. Reception/Dance - Just Like Heaven - The Cure
8. Highlights - Schizm - TOOL

This is the wedding I've been waiting for all year guys! They really want an industrial Nine Inch Nails/TOOL look and that's what I plan on delivering. I actually cut them a custom demo using a TOOL song (The Patient) and they fell in love with the look and style.

For more contemporary-sounding non-vocal, piano or solo music, I've found a couple or real gems.

Belle and Sebastian's music from Storytelling is great especially Fiction.

Yann Tiersen's music from Amelie and Goodbye Lenin.

Badly Drawn Boy's music from About a Boy, particularly "I love NYE"

Nick Drake's Instrumental songs.

You can download some music from the new movie Tarnation at TinDrum.com. Great stuff.

Maybe it's not quite the stuff you're looking for. Sorry if so.

I have found Jim Brickman CDs to be great for background piano music.

If you punch in 'slow piano music' on Napster or other peer to peer file sharing networks, you'll get a whole bunch of choices. Then you can listen to them and decide which will work best for your project.

Sounds like you're saying it's already edited and you just want to plop a song on it.
I would usually find out ahead of time what song(s) the B/G want BEFORE editing. That way I could edit the video to the music, not the other way around.

As for a song suggestion: Ok, it's got more than just a solo piano, but I love "The Wedding" from the Deep Impact soundtrack.
