HDV tape in DSR-11?

Perhaps a silly question - will a tape recorded in a Sony FX1/Z1 play in a DSR-11 or must it be downcoverted from the camera to the DSR-11?

Must be downconverted if you recorded the signal in HDV mode. If recorded in standard mode, DV or DVcam, it will play fine.
