to bluescreen with a DV camera (5:1 compression) is hard to do because a lot of the compression takes place in the blue channel of the image. if possible, go into the individual channels and tweak your keying. also, if you are putting it into your NLE, try to use the s-video port rather than the firewire. in some NLE's it 'unsamples' and recompresses the image which may help you extract your background than if you went in native dv. just make sure you can get your image out of the NLE in DV format. : Blue screen, who does it with the vx2000...can you tell me some good "tricks" I made an 8x12 foot screen and got some FLAT BLUE paint..NOT ROSCO but hardware store FLat paint and it seems to work quite well...does anyone have some really cool tricks for bluescreening? or is blue screening bad on DV cameras?
