Essential Camcorder Accessories

Film Lives
Not surprisingly the rental of film camera rentals has declined steeply. At Rule Boston Camera, film cameras were a significant part of their rentals, but not today. Now the only people shooting film are those shooting in 16mm film and that is seeing a resurgence.

Panavision is the famous motion picture equipment rental company of both film and digital equipment. They only rent cameras and lenses; you cannot buy a Panavision camera or lens. And for them a significant portion of the camera rentals is still film. About 25 percent of their larger features are still shot on film e.g. Star Trek and Spider-Man. Panavision Executive VP, Bob Harvey says “The producers are agnostic and the director and cinematographer, depending on who they are, have the power to make that call.” Complete list of video camera rental houses.

I recently discovered a cloud-based system that is vastly superior to selling physical DVDs. It’s ideal for video producers, publishers, distributors, or anyone selling a digital product. Setting it up is easy and the rest is hands off. It also works with affiliates, rentals, and subscriptions. Don’t have your own products yet? You can sell other peoples’ videos by just adding them to your store and start making affiliate profits. VideoUniversity is selling videos and digital products using this software and so is Time-Life. There are no monthly fees! Learn the easy way to sell your videos.
