Lighting Tip: Master The Cookaloris

Light casting a shadow of tree leaves, window panes, and other patterns makes a more visually interesting shot. It can also cue the viewer to the location. A thing that creates a shadow and is placed in front of a light is called a Cookaloris. Some are created just for this purpose; others are improvised on the spot.
