This boat is a felucca, a traditional wooden sailing boat used in the eastern Mediterranean, around Malta and Tunisia, and in Egypt and Sudan along the. Its rig consists of one or two lateen sails. These sails have been used as far back as the ancient Romans and as modern as the Sunfish and the Sailfish boats.
